1. About Us
Mid-Sussex Window Tinting (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides professional vehicle window tinting services from:

By booking an appointment with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Services
We provide vehicle window tinting services using professionally installed window films.
All work is carried out at our workshop premises unless otherwise agreed.
3. Bookings
Appointments must be booked in advance.
We reserve the right to request a deposit for certain bookings, including Saturday appointments.
A booking is not confirmed until agreed by Mid-Sussex Window Tinting. A booking is only confirmed when the customer receives a message the day before the booking date confirming that the booking is going ahead.
4. Deposits
Where a deposit is requested, the amount will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Deposits may be retained where a customer cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice or fails to attend their appointment.
5. Cancellation Policy
Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they wish to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in loss of any deposit paid.
6. Vehicle Condition
Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is presented in a suitable condition for installation.
We reserve the right to refuse work where a vehicle is excessively dirty, unsafe, or unsuitable for installation.
Existing scratches, damage, defects, aftermarket modifications, or faults in glass, trim, seals or electrical components should be disclosed before work begins.
We cannot be held responsible for pre-existing defects.
7. Window Tint Legality
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle complies with all applicable UK laws and regulations regarding window tinting.
Where film is installed on front side windows or other regulated glass areas, this is carried out at the customer’s request.
Mid-Sussex Window Tinting accepts no liability for penalties, enforcement action, MOT failures, or legal issues arising from tint levels selected by the customer.
8. Installation Process
Minor water bubbles, haziness, and visual distortion may be present immediately following installation and form part of the normal curing process.
Customers should allow sufficient curing time before assessing the final appearance of the film.
Customers should not lower windows or interfere with newly installed film during the curing period as advised.
9. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to retain possession of a vehicle until payment has been received in full where legally permitted.
10. Warranty
We provide a 3-year warranty covering changes in the appearance of the installed film, including:
• Peeling
• Bubbling
• Delamination
• Unusual fading
• Manufacturing defects
The warranty does not cover:
• Accidental damage
• Deliberate damage
• Damage caused by misuse
• Damage caused by cleaning with inappropriate products
• Damage resulting from accidents, vandalism, or external impacts
Warranty claims must be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability shall be limited to the value of the service provided.
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
12. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for removing valuables and personal belongings from their vehicle before work commences.
We accept no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal items left inside a vehicle.
13. Website Information
Information provided on our website is for general information purposes only.
Whilst we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no guarantees regarding completeness, accuracy, or suitability.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect personal information that customers provide when making enquiries, requesting quotations, booking appointments, making payments, submitting warranty claims, or contacting us. This information may include names, contact details, vehicle information, appointment records, payment information, and correspondence.
Personal data is used for the purposes of providing our services, managing bookings, communicating with customers, processing payments, administering warranties, responding to enquiries and complaints, and complying with legal obligations.
We store personal data securely and take reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Personal data will only be shared with third parties where necessary to provide our services, process payments, comply with legal requirements, or protect our legitimate business interests.
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Customer records will generally be retained for up to 6 years after the completion of services to enable us to fulfil contractual obligations, manage warranty claims, maintain business records, and comply with legal and tax requirements. Where a longer retention period is required by law or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, data may be retained for longer.
Customers have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about them, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of their personal data where applicable, restrict processing, or object to certain processing activities. Requests should be submitted using the contact details provided in these Terms & Conditions. We may require proof of identity before responding to such requests and will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Complaints Procedure
We are committed to providing a high standard of service. If you have any concerns or are dissatisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details provided in these Terms & Conditions.
Complaints should include your name, vehicle details, the date of service, and a clear description of the issue. Where relevant, photographs may be requested to assist with our assessment.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and will endeavour to provide a full response or proposed resolution within 14 working days. If additional time is required due to the nature of the complaint, we will keep you informed of progress.
Before any dispute is escalated to legal proceedings or other formal action, both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter through direct communication and, where appropriate, inspection of the vehicle and any affected work.
If a resolution cannot be reached through our internal complaints process, either party may pursue any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
